Here is something fun and different to do with children eight and older at Old Sturbridge Village during February school vacation week. Old Sturbridge Village’s Families Cook event will teach you how to prepare a complete 19th-century dinner by the hearth that you then get to eat. You will learn how to prepare:
- Potted cheese
- Mulled cider
- Roasted stuffed chicken
- Mashed potatoes
- Roasted carrots
- Cranberry sauce
- Buttered biscuits
- Apple pie
- Trifle
Families Cook will be held February 20, 2013 from 5 PM to 9:00 PM. Space is limited and reservations are necessary.
For an adults-only version of this you may want to check out Dinner in a Country Village. This is a very popular event so book early.
