Located in Woodstock, VT, Billings Farm & Museum is both an operating dairy farm as well as a museum of Vermont’s rural past. Year-round exhibits display what it was like to live on a Vermont farm in the 1890s.
While fun year-round, this time of year the farm especially shines with holiday themed events such as:
- October 28, 2012: A Family Halloween – Family Halloween features costume parades, games, Halloween stories, pumpkin carving, and much more. Fun for the entire family!
- November 23 to 25, 2012: Thanksgiving Weekend – Thanksgiving Weekend at Billings Farm features traditional cooking in the farmhouse, pressing cider, horse-drawn wagon rides, farm tours, and more. Come see what Thanksgiving was like in 1890.
- December 1, 2, 15, 16, 22 to 24, 26, 2012 to January 1, 2013: Christmas at the Farm – At Christmas at the Farm you will learn what a late 19th century Christmas was like. There will be horse-drawn sleigh or wagon rides, weather permitting.
- December 7, 8, and 9, 2012: Wassail Weekend – On Wassail Weekend see the 1890 farm house decked out for Christmas, make an historic ornament, and more.
There is a lot of great family fun coming up at the Billings Farm and Museum.
