A Trail Built for Summer in the Granite State

Graphic of an Ice Cream ConeNew England is full of trails. There are wine trails such as the Coastal Wine Trail of Southeastern New England. There are historical trails such as the Freedom Trail. There are long-distance paddling trails like the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. Suffice it to say that there is probably a trail for just about anything…

But the folks in New Hampshire have come up with one that seems tailor made for the summer months. This is the New Hampshire Ice Cream Trail (PDF). The trail consists of over 30 establishments across the state. In the hot months of the summer what a great resource to help you find that special scoop. The trail is jointly sponsored by Granite State Dairy Promotion, the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, and Blake’s Creamery in Manchester.

So if your idea of a great summer activity is enjoying some local fresh ice cream, then check out one or more of the locations on the Ice Cream Trail. What a great way to beat the summer heat.
