USA TODAY Travel has featured two Massachusetts North Shore restaurants famous for their fried clams. The two are:
- Woodman’s of Essex in Essex, MA
- The Clam Box in Ipswich, MA
Woodman’s invented the fried clan way back in 1916. The Clam Box is no newcomer either having been founded in 1938. While the recipes for fried clams are different at both establishments, both are considered to be iconic examples of how great a fried clam can be.
