As we move into March maple sugaring season is upon us. With that come the annual maple festivals, weekends and more celebrating maple sugaring and maple products. Following are the major events for 2012:
- March weekends, 2012: Maple Days, Sturbridge, MA – See how maple sugaring was done in the early 19th century at Old Sturbridge Village
- March, 2012: Maple Sugar Madness at Prescott Farm Environmental Education Center, Laconia, NH
- March 10 and 11, 2012: Hebron Maple Festival, Hebron, CT
- March 24 and 25, 2012: New Hampshire Maple Weekend, New Hampshire (statewide) – Over 60 sugar houses across New Hampshire participate in this open house weekend.
- March 24 and 25, 2012: Vermont Maple Open House Weekend, Vermont (statewide) – The 11th annual Vermont Maple Open House Weekend.
- March 25, 2012: Maine Maple Sunday, Maine (Statewide)
- April 27 to 28, 2012: World Maple Festival, St. Johnsbury, VT
- April 27 through April 29, 2012: Vermont Maple Festival, St. Albans, VT
