Gouveia Vineyards was established by Joe Gouveia and his wife Lucy. Joe grew up in a Portuguese village where he learned the importance of being a proactive member of society and the love of belonging to a community. Joe’s vision was to create a place where people are brought together like family. Gouveia Vineyards is the embodiment of that dream.
The winery is post and beam construction with a double sided stone fireplace, wall to wall windows, and plenty of seating inside and out. Anywhere from the property you are treated to peaceful panoramic views and it is a great place for a picnic.
Gouveia Vineyards has thirty-two acres of vineyards growing fifteen varieties of grapes. The original vines were planted by hand, and every vine is hand pruned. Every year hundreds of volunteers help hand pick the grapes. Every bottle of Gouveia Vineyards wine uses their estate grown grapes.
Wine Produced
Gouveia Vineyards produces 7,000 cases of wine a year adhering to traditional skills of Portuguese vineyards. They offer eleven different wines, including:
- White Wine:
- Cayuga White
- Chardonnay – two bottlings: an oak aged Chardonnay, and an unoaked Chardonnay
- Pinot Grigio
- Seyval Blanc
- Stonehouse White – A blend of Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc, and sweet Vignoles
- Rose Wine:
- Whirlwind Rose – A blend of Seyval Blanc, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Franc
- Red Wine
- Cabernet Franc
- Merlot
- Stonehouse Red – A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Zinfandel
- Dessert Wine:
- Epiphany Reserve

Wine Tastings
Wine tastings are offered throughout the day and you may also purchase wine at the winery to take home with you.

Gouveia Vineyards is open year round. Their hours are:
- Thursday 11 AM to 8 PM
- Friday 11 AM to 9 PM with music at night
- Saturday 11 AM to 8 PM
- Sunday 11 AM to 6 PM
