River Heritage Trail – New Hampshire

The River Heritage Trail is a designated New Hampshire Scenic and Cultural Byway. This is the drive for you if you are looking for the scenery of the White Mountains, farms, and the Connecticut River Valley traversing the southern area of the White Mountain National Forest. Attractions on the River Heritage Trail

Things to see along the way include:

  • Waterville Valley, a popular winter and summer resort
  • Views of Mount Moosilauke
  • Bath Covered Bridge (1832) West of U.S. Route 302 on Pettyboro Road in Bath
  • Bath-Haverhill Covered Bridge (1829) on N.H. Route 135
  • Swiftwater Covered Bridge (1849) – Located Route 112
  • Views along NH 112 that rival those the Kancamagus Highway
