Ocean Park in Oak Bluffs, MA
Tucked between Sea View Avenue and Ocean Avenue, Ocean Park is a 7 acre park located on the water in Oak Bluffs on the Island of Martha’s Vineyard. Surrounded by beautiful Queen Anne and Gothic Revival houses, Ocean park is a great destination for numerous family friendly activities such as flying a kite, playing a game of wiffle ball or touch football, tossing a Frisbee, spreading out a blanket for a picnic or sun bathing, or simply sitting on a park bench and people watching.
The centerpiece of the park is the 1880s bandstand in which the Vineyard Haven Band plays concerts on alternating Sunday evenings during the summer.
Ocean Park also hosts the annual Oak Bluffs fireworks display every August. This is a much anticipated island event and a truly spectacular fireworks display.
The park is within easy walking distance of the Oak Bluffs ferry terminal, and a couple of minutes from Kennebec Avenue and Circuit Avenue in downtown Oak Bluffs.
