Fourth of July Parade – Edgartown, Massachusetts

The annual Fourth of July Parade in downtown Edgartown is like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting. It is classic small town country parade with something to delight everyone in the entire family. You will see:

• Antique Cars
• Bagpipers
• Colonial soldiers firing muskets
• Fire engines
• Floats
• Horses and other animals
• Marching bands
• Marching police and firefighters
• Marching war veterans

The parade starts at 5:00 PM and is part of day long activities that start with a Fourth of July Barbecue on the Old Whaling Church lawn (4 PM to 8 PM), lobster rolls across the street at St. Elizabeth’s Church, and end with fireworks on Edgartown Harbor around sunset (9 PM).

This is great fun for the entire family, and best of all, it is all free.
