The Grist Mill located on Stony Brook Road in Brewster, MA was built in 1873 on the foundation of a Fulling Mill that dated from 1665. The mill uses falling water from Stony Brook to turn the waterwheel that turns the millstones that grind corn. The museum’s upstairs has artifacts from Cape Code as well as an antique loom that is used for weaving demonstrations. Visitors may purchase fresh cornmeal at the grist mill.
The museum is open Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM during the summer. Admission is free.
