Description

The Camden Snow Bowl is a year round recreation area known for skiing, mountain biking, snow tubing, tennis and more.

The ski season lasts from November through April. Guests can enjoy 15 trails which are serviced by four lifts. Night skiing is available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays until 8:00 PM. One unique thing about the Camden Snow Bowl is its location. When guests are on the slopes, they will have a majestic view of the Atlantic Ocean.

When the ski season is over, the recreation area remains open for guests to enjoy boating, hiking, softball and more. The Camden Snow Bowl is a great place for athletes to visit year round.

Rentals

Ski equipment, snowboarding gear and snowshoes are all available in the Camden Snow Bowl rental shop. Guests can rent equipment for a full day or for evening use only. Discount rental rates can be given to large groups of 10 or more people by booking in advance.

Lessons

Group lessons are given daily in the morning and in the afternoon. Group lessons last for an hour and a half. Private lessons are available by reservation and can be booked by the hour, in a three hour block or in a full day package. Beginner packages are also available for new skiers. The beginner package includes rentals, a lift tick and three group lessons. Only the basics are covered in the beginner program, so it is recommended only for people who have never set foot on the slopes before. Local children can enroll in the facility’s ski school. Programs meet several times a week and children are grouped by age.

Racing

The Camden Snow Bowl has a variety of racing programs for young skiers of all ages. Skiers will be placed into different categories based on age and skill level. There are also middle school and high school ski clubs that meet on a regular basis to compete and practice at Camden Snow Bowl. Camden Snow Bowl hosts another type of racing as well. The facility is home to the U.S. National Toboggan Championships. This exciting event is held each February.

Lift Tickets

Lift tickets can be purchased for a full day, for night skiing only or for two hour blocks. Please note that night skiing is only available Wednesday through Friday and that the facility is closed completely on Mondays and Tuesdays unless there is a holiday. Both adult and student pricing is available. Kids five and under can always use the lifts for free. Senior pricing is given to adults age 70 and over.

Guests looking to stay overnight in the area can bunk with one of Camden Snow Bowl’s many lodging partners. Partner hotels include Hartstone Inn, Camden Riverhouse and Lord Camden Inn. Guests staying at these venues will enjoy cozy beds, fine dining and discounts at the Camden Snow Bowl. The hotels should be contacted directly for questions about current promotions. Camden Snow Bowl also has on site facilities that can be rented out for weddings, sweet sixteen parties and other large events.
