Better known for its’ alpine skiing, this resort a short distance north of Burlington, VT also has a Nordic Center for cross country skiers and snowshoers. They feature 30 km of cross country trails, most of which are groomed, and 24 km of dedicated snowshoe trails. Terrain is available for every level from beginner to expert.
Rentals
The Smugglers’ Notch Nordic Center rents cross country skis, boots, poles, snowshoes, and ice skates.
Trail Passes
Daily and season-long trail passes are available for:
- Youth (6-18)
- Adult (19-69)
Children 5 and under and adults 70 and older ski for free.
People with an Alpine lift ticket get free trail access as well.
Lessons
Smugglers’ Notch has lessons for beginner to advanced Nordic skiing or snowshoeing. Group and Private Lessons are available for both
Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing. They also have tours.
Amenities
Smugglers’ Notch Resort offers a wide range of amenities from pools to restaurants to message, yoga, and wellness. Non-skiing outdoor activities include dog sledding, ice skating, snowmobile tours, and a zipline canopy tour. There is plenty to do here both on and off the slopes.
