Description
The Mount Sunapee Ski Resort located in Newbury is one of New Hampshire’s largest ski resorts with 65 trails, 3 terrain parks, and 11 lifts. It is only 45 minutes from Concord, NH and less than two hours from Boston, MA. The mountain is owned by the State of New Hampshire and operated by the owners of Okemo Mountain Resort in Vermont.
Mount Sunapee also hosts summer events including the Lake Sunapee Bike Race, rides of the Sunapee Express chair to the mountain summit, musical events, and the annual Fall Foliage Pig Roast & Barbecue.
Rentals
Mount Sunapee rents ski and snowboard equipment for a full day or a half day. Rates are for adults (13+) and juniors (12 and under). In addition, Sunapee also rents snowshoes.
Lessons
Mount Sunapee has adult, children, and family programs as well as adaptive ski programs provided by the New England Handicapped Sports Association. Both private and group lessons are offered.
Racing
Mount Sunapee hosts many racing events including NASTAR racing and the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge.
Lift Tickets
Lift tickets are available for 2 PM on, half days, full days, and 2, 3, 4, or 5 days. Tickets are priced for:
- Juniors (6-12)
- Young Adults (13-18)
- Adults (19-64)
- Seniors (65-69)
- Super Seniors (70+)
Season passes are also available as is a frequent skier program and a Mount Sunapee 6-Pack (6 days for the price of 5).
Amenities
On mountain dining options include the Sunapee Cafeteria, Spruce Lodge Cafeteria, Goosefeathers Pub, and Sunapee Espresso Coffee Bars. In addition, the Hearthstone Room is available for private groups.
Mount Sunapee has a Snowsports shop for repairs and tune-ups.
For younger children, Mount Sunapee offers Mother Goose Childcare for children ages one to five.
