Description
People have been skiing Wachusett Mountain since 1934. Located in Princeton, MA, the Wachusett Mountain Ski Area is only 30 minutes from Worcester, an hour and ten minutes from Providence, RI, and a hour and twenty minutes from Boston. There is even commuter rail service from Boston to nearby Fitchburg. Wachusett picks up skiers and takes them to the Mountain and returns them to the train station in the afternoon. Ski Magazine considers Wachusett to be the most accessible ski area in the eastern United States.
Wachusett offers both day and night skiing.
Rentals
Shaped skis, boots and poles or snowboards and boots are available to rent as are helmets. Rentals may be half day, full day, all day (day and night) or for the season.
Lessons
Ski and snowboard instruction includes daily class and private lessons. They also have one, two, and three day beginner packages as well as seasonal programs and clinics including a race clinic.
Racing
Wachusett has a night race league Mondays through Thursdays, as well as eight other special race events.
Lift Tickets
Lift tickets are available for half day (8 AM to 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM), day (8 AM to 4 PM), as well as two different evening tickets (4 to 10 PM or 6 to 10 PM). They also offer many different season pass options.
Amenities
Amenities at Wachusett include: the Bullock Lodge, the Black Diamond Restaurant, the Coppertop Lounge, the Wachusett Cafeteria, the Balance Rock Coffee Company, and the Mountainside Ski and Sports store.
Wachusett also hosts meetings such as corporate meetings or social gatherings as well as weddings.
