Mohawk Mountain had been in business since its founding by Skiing Hall of Fame member, Walt Schoenknecht in 1947. It was Connecticut’s first ski area and is its’ largest. The ski area is located in the southern Berkshire Mountains in the town of Cornwall, Connecticut near Mohawk State Forest. To this day, Mohawk Mountain is a family run business.
Mohawk Mountain offers ski rentals as well as lessons. Lift tickets are all day, morning, afternoon, twilight, or night.
